This silver and red maple cross grows in higher alkaline soils than most rubrums and has the vigor of a silver maple. Upright-oval form with brilliant orange-red fall color lasts longer than most cultivars.

An upright, uniform tree with strong crotch angles and limbs which are inwardly cupped to withstand wind, ice, and storms with no shattering. This outstanding compact tree will tolerate higher pH soils than Autumn Blaze maples. Red fall color turns gold, seedless.

Sienna Glen Maple

This hardy hybrid maple was discovered in Minnesota. It features a strong central leader and develops a pyramidal form with minimal pruning. Sienna Glen has consistent red to burgundy red color in the fall. This is a tough, low maintenance tree that is more tolerant of high pH soils than the Autumn Blaze.

Very cold hardy, tolerates dry and alkaline soils, and grows well in shade. A small,  dense form, multi-stemmed with yellowish white fragrant flowers in spring followed by red samaras. Has fiery red fall color.

Sensation Maple is very tolerant of harsh alkaline soils and environments. This seedless male clone does not attract box elder bugs. Rounded habit with brilliant red fall color. Prefers less water. Warren Carnefix of Fruitland Nursery discovered the original tree growing near an abandoned Idaho homestead.

Deborah Maple has bright red new foliage, turning into a vivid dark green. Vigorous grower with a straight central leader. Evenly branched crown, and the form is broadly oval to round.

Emerald Queen is a fast growing oval tree with dark green leathery foliage that turns yellow in the fall. A great tree for urban planting. Emerging foliage is tinged red.

Royal Red Maple

Royal Red Maple is oval when young, becoming rounded with age. Deep purple foliage turns maroon to reddish-bronze in the fall. This cultivar is similar to Crimson King Maple, but is considered by some people to have better cold hardiness.

Autumn Flame is one of the hardiest red maples. It is seedless and the first rubrum to show bright red color in the fall. The tree form is dense, rounded with spreading branches, and medium green foliage. Slower growing that most rubrums.

Dense, oval, upright form with fall foliage that is yellow, red, and brown. Tatarian Maples will tolerate cold, arid climates, drought, and alkaline soils. A good tree tree for small areas.
